Net app developers ready for big business?

Over at Bokardo, Joshua Porter has written an interesting article on how ‘interface remixers’, such as those who create new uses for Google Maps, should be ready for the time when the big players in that field (Google, Flickr, Technorati and the like) decide that their APIs aren’t free any more, and the competition that that will bring.
